10 kWh HYXiPower All-in-One Home Battery in Almere

For this home in Almere, we installed a 10 kWh HYXiPower All-in-One home battery. A unique aspect of this project is that the client already had solar panels, but the existing inverter was undersized. As a result, a portion of the generated energy could never be fully utilized.

Instead of placing a separate battery alongside the existing system, we connected the solar panels directly to the All-in-One's hybrid inverter. Consequently, the old inverter has been eliminated. This offers several advantages. The panels are now utilized at full capacity, the solar power flows directly into the battery via the DC side without unnecessary conversions, and the client has full insight into generation, storage, and consumption via a single app.

The battery is located outside under the carport, a short distance from the meter cupboard. This ensures the system does not take up space inside the house and the battery remains well protected. The cabling from the solar panels was routed through a neat cable duct along the facade and over the carport structure to the battery. The connection to the meter cupboard runs through the crawl space, with the route following the existing charging station cable and neatly concealed under the decking.

The customer will soon switch to a dynamic energy contract. The battery will then charge smartly when electricity is cheap and discharge when prices are high. In combination with the homeowner's own solar power, this results in maximum savings on the energy bill.

The result: an existing solar panel installation that finally utilizes its full potential, combined with smart energy storage, without sacrificing any space inside.
